Tomorrow is Mother's Day, and hubby just asked me what do I want to eat, and I said "Lumpia", my mom's "lumpia". He said that he will try to cook it for me. So we both go through the ingredients that we need. My mom used to cook it for us, and that is what I am missing so much, sad to say I can never taste it again because she passed away for almost nine years.
I bought some of the ingredients yesterday, and a few remaining was bought today by hubby, he intend to do everything by himself, and serve it for dinner, However I can not wait anymore thus I told him I want to have it for lunch instead. Chopping into tiny bits, and grating takes a lot of time, thus I decided to help him, and do the cooking myself since it was almost 12 noon. And to tell you the truth, I have never tried cooking lumpia in my entire life. My sisters know how to cook it, but the fact that we all live oceans apart, it will only mean that I have to wait longer before I can have some.
TADA!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's my first attempt of cooking lumpia!
My decision of trying to cook it myself turns out to be a success:), everything was based on my memory of how it should taste, no recipe book is being followed.
Let's EAT!!
